As part of the 1st Bankathon in Frankfurt, we built a prototype of a fully automated accounting system within 48 hours. In addition to its own voice assistant for the web, the application had Machine Learning algorithms that automatically assigned receipts to its accounting accounts and a matching mechanism that assigned receipts to their entries in the linked bank accounts (via Figo-API). The PDF documents were automatically read according to their meta data (total amount, sender, recipient, etc.) and then stored in the correct folders based via a dropbox synchronization.

With this extensive first prototype, we achieved the first place in this hackathon. Christopher and Christian developed the idea for their startup and I supported them in the first months as interim CTO.
